Loveland Living Planet Aquarium has almost double in size with the now open Sam & Aline Skaggs Science Learning Center. This state-of-the-art 120,000-square-foot facility expands our capacity to offer immersive experiences, deepen our educational programs, and provide a space for community engagement. The expansion showcases three dynamic areas meticulously designed to captivate and inspire guests:
Cloud Forest
The ALL-NEW Ford Expedition Asia is a beautiful, immersive indoor cloud forest habitat featuring incredible species and interactive exhibits. This quarter-acre habitat is the centerpiece of the expansion.
Event Center
A 15,000-square-foot massive venue with an ocean view seats up to 2,000 guests for conferences, galas, and special events, all in support of the Aquarium’s mission to inspire discovery and world-class animal care.
Education Hub
This dynamic space, with 14 state-of-the-art classrooms and high-tech laboratories, will host unique STEAM- focused programming, including seasonal camps, field trips, research partnerships, and more.
AFFORDABLE CHILDCARE AT THE AQUARIUM
Right here on the Aquarium campus, Coral Cove Childcare offers convenient, high-quality childcare for Aquarium employees and the public. Designed especially for young learners, this early childhood learning center focuses on hands-on exploration and play-based learning that sparks curiosity and creativity. Operated by a professional third-party provider, Coral Cove provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can build independence, make discoveries, and have fun learning—while parents enjoy peace of mind knowing their little ones are well cared for close by.
