What to Expect
– Camp drop off and pick up are done at the curbside! Simply pull up to the curb and wait for a camp staff member to assist you. Please be aware that because multiple camp families are dropping off and picking up their campers at the same time, you may wait in line for a few minutes. We work diligently to keep your campers safe and secure, and we only include steps in this process that are necessary for your camper’s safety.
– We will continue using pick up passwords to expedite this process. You will set your pick up password when you complete your camper’s forms. Simply tell the camp staff your password at pick up and they’ll bring your camper to your car. Anyone with this password is authorized to pick up your camper.
– There is no wait list for sold-out camps. If there is an opening in a camp, it will appear available for purchase in that camp’s registration links.
– Campers must be registered for camp two weeks in advance. Cancellations made with at least two weeks’ notice qualify for a full refund of camp fees. We do not offer refunds for day-of cancelations or no-shows
Contact SpecialPrograms@LivingPlanetAquarium.org with any questions.
Please send your camper with appropriate sun protection, closed-toe shoes, and a reusable water bottle.
The Aquarium has implemented curbside drop-off and pick-up for your safety and convenience. Just pull up to the curb and an Aquarium employee will greet you and ask you a few screening questions. Camp staff will escort your camper to their group. Please remain in your car during drop-off rather than escort your child inside.
We know that first-day jitters can be tough for young campers. We suggest prepping campers in advance for what to expect. The sample script below can help you:
“Next week, you’re going to go to camp at the Aquarium! We’re going to get into the car on Monday morning and drive to the Aquarium. Once we get there, a person in a blue shirt is going to come over to the car. They are our camp teachers that work at the Aquarium. I’m going to stay in the car while you go inside the Aquarium with some other kids and the camp teachers. You’re going to stay at the Aquarium for three hours. You will see cool animals, play games with other kids, and have a snack. Then at lunchtime, I’m going to come back in the car to pick you up. Then we’ll drive home and eat lunch and you can tell me about the fun things you did at the Aquarium!”
Going over this script in the days leading up to camp and even acting it out with toys can help young campers feel more confident and prepared to go to camp.
In this situation, please keep your camper home and contact us as soon as possible.

We recognize that camp fees can be a significant investment for families, which is why we have revised our refund policy to give you greater flexibility. Full refunds can be given if you contact us before 8:00 AM on the first day of your camp session. If your camper has already started a session, you will receive a prorated refund for each full day missed, up to 50% of the total camp fees.
Campers must have reached the minimum age by the first day of camp. Loveland Living Planet Aquarium reserves the right to cancel or alter registrations of children registered in camps that do not match their age. Campers must be toilet-trained to participate in an Aquarium Camp. Registration for camps will remain open until one week before camp, or until full. No registration will be allowed after the cutoff date.
The Aquarium is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable experience for all campers. Whenever possible, we are happy to work with guardians to make reasonable accommodations for campers with special physical, behavioral, emotional, cognitive, or medical needs. If camp management consults with a camper and their guardians and determines that the needs of a camper cannot safely be met, the Aquarium reserves the right to cancel their registration and provide a full refund.
There may be activities during camp that bring campers into close contact with vulnerable species. In these situations, due to animal safety regulations, we will require campers and staff to wear masks covering the mouth and nose for the duration of the activity.
Loveland Living Planet Aquarium reserves the right to cancel registration for any other reason. In the event that a registration is canceled, registrants will be notified and receive a full refund or may be allowed to transfer their registration to another session.
