Discover Birds
At the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, we have many feathered friends with all sorts for fantastic adaptations. Although most birds are adapted for flight, many can also jump, run, swim, and dive. Birds are found in all habitats worldwide and, of course, your own backyard! Utah is an important habitat for many birds, both those that reside here year-round and millions that pass through on their migration routes. The Great Salt Lake and other nearby wetlands provide a place for birds to rest and feed on an abundance of brine shrimp, brine flies, and other invertebrates which are a key food source for many species.
